Attack with lots of little wennies, then get the 6/12 and bash face.

Wish it could block multiple creatures.

Well, it is and instant. You can play it on their turn and fog or remove or just block some stuff and attack with a 6/12 next turn before it blows up... or you can Soul's Fire some face too whenever you want :P

Much more white flavor than red, considering its only really useful for defense...

Remember, guys, you can use this on an opponent's attack to block and kill some creature (assuming it has 6 or less toughness); since it dies at the end of YOUR turn (check it!), you get to attack with the 6/12 trampler as soon as your turn comes up, since it didn't come into play during your turn!!
It doesn't have haste, so casting it in response to your attackers will usually mean it just dies as your turn ends--and since you're already attacking, that wouldn't matter, anyway

This card is on crack. I mean Jesus, it's all so randomly thrown together! Why is this even red? Someone was not thinking straight when they designed this...

Except for the trample aspect, it does seem more like a {W} card.

I really prefer this style of Trap card with a variant cost over the usual fixed cost Trap card. Honestly, some of those might as well say "You may play this card for 1 if it's a Tuesday, raining, and your opponent's mother's maiden name begins with an F."

ehh not really only used in defence, red has many cards to give your creatures haste, so ya, pretty damn useful card imo.

On your turn this is really asking to be used with Inside Out. 12/6 trampler for 8 mana, why the hell not?

Lord guys, READ THE CARD before posting: as a guy who actually did read the card, you cannot use this trap on YOUR turn, unless you want a 6/12 trampler that cannot attack, if that's the case, gather the mana and throw on foe turn even if he/she does not attack, then you will be able to use it, else you use a Soul's fire of 6 damage paying 7RR -1 max -5 if you are attacking as it's maximum potency.
Be realist guys, you kill (or at least block) a creature, and attack next turn with a 6/12 trampler for 4R -1 per each attacker paid ON YOUR OPPONENT's TURN.
I wonder how many noticed that this, as all traps, is an instant.

It's a good card, but it should have been a blue card. Blue is known for cost alteration like Mana Leak or taxing and is most common color to be overrun by swarms. No matter if they are apes, saprolings, goblins or cats. And it's a red mage who could shatter the token.

about the best chump block i can think of atm to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn if your unlucky enough to have him coming at u.

It is Red because of the ease of giving it Haste for the option to play it for its full cost on your turn.

God bless you, Ken Nagle.

Regardless of how off-color one may think this is, red really does benefit from this the most.
There's just so much red-hosing around these days.
And giving red a non-red source of damage really helps.

I totally get that it's like rolling over your opponent's forces as they run up to get you.
But how are you getting it back to attack for you on the next turn? x3

This is more red than any other color. Which color makes tokens that go away?(red) Which color sacrifices long term advantage for short term gain?(red) What colors get trample?(green then red) Which colors care most about attacking?(red/white)
White's Combat tricks don't get to attack the next turn
Blue gets cost reductions but that was bled to every color for the traps.
As previously mentioned, the stone flavor works well for it too. Red has many simple walls with huge toughness for the cost. Wall of Stone is a 0/8 for 1RedRed.

Play on opponent's turn, block and maybe kill something, then attack with it next turn, then play Consuming Vapors on yourself. Sacrifice it for 12 life, then play the rebound on your opponent next upkeep.

Dai-Zeen motioned for his team to slow down, raising his torch higher above him. "Be careful, I swear I can feel a trap nearby," He said, scanning the ground and walls with his eyes. "Eight-fingers, get up here and check," Dai-Zeen called back, not taking one more step forward.

A scarred human stepped in front of his three companions, walking over to where their expedition leader stood. He dropped to his knees, eyeing the ground at level, sweeping a hand gently over the tiles, tossing pebbles here and there with a clatter. After a short wait, the trapfinder stood, sufficiently pleased with his looking over. "Be wary," He said, "This ruin knows how many of us there are, it will guard it's treasure all the more jealously."

"What, does think he can speak to the thing?" Muttered the hired ogre, and the lean kor beside him hushed him.

"He's the one keeping us alive, so I'd shut your mouth," The kor said evenly, adjusting his pack once more as their captain made a move to continue on.

They began their climb up the steep staircase, one at a time, each step giving them more confidence that they would finally get snatch a treasure from Zendikar's jealous hold. That was, until the step that the captain stepped on sunk down. He didn't even have enough time to curse before the head of some vast idol crashed down from the ceiling and crushed him flat. The rest of his squad jumped in surprise, before the trapfinder yelled, "Run!"

They all turned on their heels, sprinting pell-mell down the staircase they tried to climb so cautiously. The idol was rolling after them, grinding against the ancient stone. It was gaining on them, and they knew it, doubling their speed and trying all the harder to outrace it. The trapfinder tripped upon one of his own pebbles, falling onto his face. He shouted out, silenced a moment later by the still-moving idol. The three remaining adventurers finally made it off the steps and dove down a hallway for safety, just as the idol crashed into the opposite wall.

They stood breathing for a moment, each looking at the other, lucky to be alive. It was a moment before anyone spoke.

"Told'ja he was a hack," The ogre growled.

I love how this giant statue head sticks around for the next turn, apparently animated. Or maybe it's just still rolling?

Red/White Populate? Seems bad, but I still want to try it ^.^

Being the Selesnya junkie I am, my first thought was populating this. The creature token itself doesn't have the exile ability, it's something that card has. Populating a 6/12 for thanks to Wake the Reflections would just be so evil and fun.
