Is it just me, or does the flavor text come off as being mildly inspirational rather than something that's meant to denote weakness?

How is it inspirational? The flavor text is calling you weak.

Lol, Feebleness.

I feel like the flavor text could be worded better. Right now, it sounds kind of like a power ballad.

yeah i was just about to say, the art is just like the one in feebleness, but they are bigger and have hair.

This actually helped me a few times in limited... can't say anything about it outside of sealed/draft.

The best part is that it can't even kill Storm Crow.

Clinging Darkness makes several creatures useless for 1 more mana. And Last Gasp kills creatures outright. 'Meh' for {B}, but not worth my time.

why not just use doomblade

Even in limited, it's only semi-good removal. I don't consider this a very good card.

@Oleander:
Yeah, I thought so to.

Strictly worse than Feebleness.

Its ok i guess, if you dont want to waste any 2 or 3 CMC cards for tiny creature removal. so you can put most of your mana into creatures to over rush your opponent. (not realy for a T2 or extended deck. but for sealed and limited it should work ok.)

This can be useful in the right situations. It is an enchantment, not an instant, so the monster you are casting it on will be weakened for as long as the enchantment is on them. This has its uses on indestructible creatures.

The fact it can also remove tokens is kinda nice too...

It won't see play in constructed though, which is ok. Some cards are made with only limited in mind, or to serve as low tier cards in the set, high tier being the overly used mythics everyone wants in their decks.

So did they just give Kev Walker the same art treatment from Feeblenes and say, "again, but different"?

The flavor text is... you.

@longwinded: No, for Feebleness they wrote Kev Walker to look at his Fifth Edition art of this card (which is the same as this one) and said "Again, but different." :P

@OutlawD1 - You'd rather use the blade on something that you could neuter with this than save it for something uglier? I...see...I think.

It's very satisfying toss this on a buff creature while screaming "YOU'RE WEEEAAAAK! WEEEAAAAK!!"

Opponent cast Pain on me. I discarded this, and said "Pain is weakness leaving the body."
