Its too expensive to be good in play and its cycle ability is mediocre, I mean who wants to pay three for a token and one card draw?

3 stars. Instant speed blocking + card drawing will always be good, and is really good for 2W in limited. The fact that the token-making ability also works if he is put into a graveyard from play is really interesting too. I would say he is a decent pick mid/late-game for a bant deck because of the excellent cycling ability. I wish the body had been a 3/4 though, because as a 2/4 he is really too weak and too mana intensive to justify playing all the time.

This guy needs more credit for being a 2/4, especially with all of those 3/2 Blades these days. He can get in front of 4 of them and survive. And if he doesn't survive, at least you get a 1/1. Also I don't think 2W is a bad cost for a Elvish Visionary with Flash. Probably the most versatile of the cycle. I am just tired of so many 3 colour spells, but thats the theme.

Pretty decent card for a common. Instant blocker and a draw for 3? 2/4 that replaces itself and gives you a chump blocker for 4? My only complaint is the 3 color casting cost, this card would have been better suited for 2GW IMO, but again, it is just a common.

so lets see we have an all white soldier deck
where all soldiers can potentially get +1/+1 vigilance and first strike, not to mention the possibility of an Honor of the Pure

so we have 3 mana left after playing a card, ah yes
cycle for 2
extra militia for 1
why thankyou

This card at first glance looks unworthy of its Exalted theme, but the importance is with the cycling option it is attatched with. If your hand contains no useful sources, or something big comes your way, the cycling allows you to draw a card and flash in 1/1 to chump block the brute. The element here is to surprise your opponent.

The art for this is simply amazing.

Odd that this card is (mainly?) useful as a cantrip Raise the Alarm for mono-White Soldier decks.

Not nearly as good as Stoic Angel

Perhaps not the most effective creature by itself, but mono-white loves the cantriping soldier token at instant speed.

For style points, make the token unblockable with Venser, the Sojourner.

Love the artwork. I am unsure as to whether the creature is worth 1GWU and whether the cycle + 1/1 is worth plus 2W, though. I guess it could use something.

More than that, even, I find the cycle + 1/1 seems unfitting for the flavour. Spread the light? Maybe something with mana or land or indeed card draw. I don't know, really. Something makes me want to keep this card on the field, not discard it. Probably the art.
