a bad card with cascade is usually still a bad card. considering how much it tends to get overcosted.

For a limited scenario, this guy is very appealing to me. Considering all the new two drops in ARB that are very amazing (I'm looking at you, Hackblade) you generally can't go wrong with what you cascade into.

In limited this got me to top 4. Also in constructed RGB aggro? Stop a potential blocker, cascade into Jund Hackblade, or Colossal Might, or Terminate... Then swing with your creatures. Oh AND it's common.

it stops a blocker and can let you get an additional attacker, or kill something (terminate)... this could be fun in a deck with alot of two cost cards, cheap burns and/or terror for free.

I've been beat down with this card way too many times to not consider it a good card. As Annex said, when cascade hits a Terminate or Jund Hackblade, you can gain a lot of tempo on your opponent.

it `s like ergent plea so it`s crap this cascade can give u maybe a goblin or if u are lucky terminate, but still stun is better, cost less ant u draw witch is always good

Can you cast this if there is no creature on the battlefield? (just for the cascade)

Apparently it's been a while since anyone commented on this. No mention of either Hypergenesis or Living End.
Anyway, that's what this is good for, all you folks out there :)

I put this in a creatureless deck discard, just because it always nets one of my two best cards.

but an overcosted card with cascade is potentially an ok effect tacked onto a very good card.

Like the other 3-mana cascade spells, its main use is cascading into the "suspend-only" haymakers like hypergenesis and living end. However, unlike ardent plea and violent outburst, there needs to be a creature in play you can target to cast demonic dread, so your deck will probably only include it if you want more than 8 such spells.

This card references the theologian Rudolf Otto's idea of numinous horror, daemonic-dread

Ok, so in living end after you have used up/ drawn all your living ends this becomes better then Violent Outburst because it lets you swing past their one blocker to get those last points in before they can draw their removal spells. Violent Outburst is better for instant speed living end, this is better as it's own effect.

Can cascade into boom which allows you to cast bust

In a B/R aggro deck you only want a couple of lands in the first place; against Zoo or some such that can outperform your creatures, sub boom//bust for Living End.

Has anyone mentioned the art?
I lol'd.

It is worth of 3 stars already. Plus playability...
Maybe 4?
