@Nuclear: Incorrect, you cast a cascade spell, this would be cast, this would resolve, then the cascade spell would resolving. Playing/casting is not the same thing as resolving.

I like this guy. He is almost the parallel Wall of Denial( THOUGH OBVIOUSLY NOT AS GOOD), he gives you some offense while leaving your mana open for counters, maybe while setting up a good combo with a Donate/Lich deck or while you hit a dry patch in a Mill Deck and have no Mill spells. For three mana I think he has his uses.

The drawback may look harsh, (and it is) but this guy has single-handedly beaten my opponent on many occasions. Mainly because they didn't have a way to deal with flying; and he does hit hard and fast for a creature.
Just remember to cast/summon as many things as you can before turn 3 when you summon him. I had a Briarberry Cohort swinging alongside him and an Oona's Gatewarden on the defensive.
Also, if you absolutely must cast something, make sure you kill him off in combat (preferably trading w/ an opponent's creature at the most) so that he doesn't go to waste.

It's unstable, you're taking chances with it, and your opponent could have a much better board position by the time your opponent forces this thing off the field. It's a gamble that isn't worth it.

this creature is very hyper-aggressive, I'd use it with Lightning Greaves to curve nicely and increase that aggression. Vexing Sphinx is this guy's Comrade in Arms!

Decent control until you can get some board set-up established. Trying him out for a little while in my Grixis control deck.
But I have to ask... would it have really been too much to give this guy unearth for or something? That would have made this guy so much more playable...
I'm thinking of adding this to my Living End deck.

A demon? Not exactly... not as awesome as current-day demons...

A- Use him with abilties. Guildmages work well, as do spellshapers. You get to "keep casting" without doing so. These are also often high-value cards because of the inherent card-advantage or tempo advantage they can give.
B- Use him with Ninjitsu. He's big for his cost and he's evasive. You either get card advantage from their blockers or you drop the ninja of your choice on their skull when 4 damage isn't enough or you need to cast some spells.
D- Stop being a pansy. You played Hell's Thunder and thought it was awesome right? Well this guy gets to stick around if you want. Use him as a slow burn spell that might just attract removal and them off him when you have something worth casting. Don't strangle yourself, just remember that getting 4-8 damage out of a single spell is awesome.
He's really a 4/5 in my book. Easy to work around in a proper deck, powerful for the cost.

Ninjas.
I cannot believe I didn't think of that.
Thanks blurrymadness!
Though to be fair I may end up playing spells anyway. Hrm...

The drawback is killer, but it is a 4/3 sky beater for 3 mana. Could just cast him and eat some health points / hold cards. Make them come up with an answer.

If you want a 4/3 flyer for 3 in any format but limited, there is Demonic Taskmaster and Esperzoa. They are in the same colors and have easier drawbacks.

C- Use him with cycling; especially cycling cards that give you side benefits such as Complicate, Decree of Silence, Death Pulse
