Good in limited, bad in constructed. Why couldn't this have been a 3/3 flyer?

For a 3 mana creature in a W/U Control deck I would much rather take Aven Mimeomancer.

Not a spectacular card but for a bird/man thingy it is pretty cute haha

Sky Spirit vs Talon Trooper - is there really any difference?

This makes me want to read the shards novels. Bant, why you invadin'? I would expect them to be more worried about grixis.
Anyways boring card from an otherwise exciting set :\

I find it funny that this card is rated a full point lower than Sky Spirit (rounding both ratings quite easily to the nearest tenth of a point, as of 11/9/2011), despite the fact that, were these two creatures to face off without outside influence, this creature would survive while Sky Spirit would find itself in the graveyard. That little factoid is not the ONLY possible way in which this Trooper is superior to the Spirit. The 3 toughness (versus Spirit's 2) is beneficial in numerous other possible scenarios, as well.

I'll also state that Sky Spirit is preferable to Trooper in various OTHER situations. Neither is 'strictly' better or worse than the other.

I'm not a huge fan of multicolored French vanilla creatures. If I have to spend more than one type of mana, I would hope the result has a bigger effect than just this.

What's up with Troopers that aren't Soldiers? Make it a Scout too, sure... but doesn't trooper mean soldier?

'Bird Soldier' would have made this card. Shame.
