What a ridiculously underpowered card...

Well you sir are a bore.

Sincerely,
Sir Jackson Beck esq.

P.S. if you would like to come over to my house for tea and scones some time feel free to as it would be delightful.

Wow, a Rod of Ruin with a BAD effect.
That's pretty foul.

I like this guy. Ping your Birds of Paradise and swing for two. At least they are better than Grey Ogre.

On par as far as power for when it was printed, and on par as far as flavor for The Dark (i.e. awesome.)

They are better than Gray Ogre, but I'm not sure if they're better than Hurloon Minotaur.

For the modern-day (and thus far more powerful) version, see Spikeshot Elder.

I'd say its at least better than Prodigal Pyromancer. I'd play it in limited, and you would too.

I don't know if I'd take it over Fire Tim; the one damage to yourself isn't a huge drawback but the high activation cost limits the amount of times you'd use it more than once a turn. I agree that it would be quite playable in Limited.

Somewhat too expensive. Maybe an activation cost of 1R instead of 1RR would have worked.
