This is a limited Bant rock star. I don't see the first ability being used. Ever.

Massive fun with exalted mechanic. also it's a cleric and can save somethings from removal in a pinch.

This is an absolety must card to draft for Bant and even Naya deck. With all the mana fixer, it is easy to splash blue with Naya. This cleric makes your 5 power fatties unblockable. Or make your exalted li'l guy sneak in for a couple more damage. Awesome!

Reminds me of Samite Archer. They both have the same stats except for the second ability, which either lets you deal one damage or make a creature unblockable. Fun fact: the archer makes use of archaic blue color pie.
This one's definitely useful as aforementioned for block-constructed use as well in Bant decks with Exhalted effects.

Just for the second ability I consider this one a must-have. The first attribute is just icing on mi' cake.

A no-cost tap to make something unblockable is a no-brainer, particularly for white/blue where your defense may be solid but need offensive help.

The "target is unblockable" ability is also good for defense. If your opponent swings with a creature like Taunting Elf or Prized Unicorn (has to be blocked by every creature that can block it), you can make that creature unblockable so you can block their other creatures.

I guess the first ability COULD be used to save Rafiq from a bolt :p

its 3 for any creature to be unblockable. how is that not amazing 5/5? even in its banty colors, it help exalted. in anything else its unblockable by tapping a 1/1. use it. it begs you to.

When you think about it, this card likely is the spiritual predecessor of Venser, the Sojourner's second ability. Great in an Exalted, also very good with Godhead of Awe (though in that case Samite Archer is better).

@salmonrose: Sure it's good in a Bant deck, but Naya decks tend not to run Blue since Naya's colors are RGW. If you're running this guy, I'm not sure I'd be calling it a Naya deck.

Anyway, this guy helps get Rafiq through for some decent general damage. With all of the other exalted creatures and pumping enchantments like Armadillo Cloak and of course Eldrazi Con***ion, this guy can help Rafiq excel as a Voltron commander.

He makes your fatties unblockable every turn! Unlike cards like Crafty Pathmage or Goblin Tunneler, he has no power restriction. No other creature, besides Zhuge Jin from Portal Three Kingdoms, can do that.

Prevention ability can at least prevent a lightning bolt. Unblockable ability can end games.

Oracle comes through for the Classic Metered Limited format yet again! We finally have iambic pentameter!

"Target creature can't be blocked this turn."
