Absolutely horrible card. Four mana is far too much for such a weak aura, and most of the time the creature will die, get bounced, pacified or whatever, and you wasted mana and a card. Play something useful instead, like a good creature, some card draw, removal or whatever. Anything but this.

Try playing it on things like Dread Warlock or Black Knight, then let me know if you still think it sucks. Seriously though, don't comment on what I said until you have tried it. I was really surprised how well it works out.

I can see it being decent on a Black Knight or any black creature with first strike or evasion during the time when Terror was the main removal spell before things like Terminate and Path to Exile existed.

One of the few cards from Homelands that saw any significant play. It may cost a bit, but +4/+0 with NO drawbacks is unusual in black. In any color, really. That extra 4 can spell the difference between an easily killed weenie or a Baneslayer-destroying monstrosity.
All I really remember about this card is when one of my friends pulled one in a sixth edition booster soon after I started playing and I took one look at the art + name and said 'WTF?'
