I would definitely like to see this reprinted. It would do a lot to balance standard IMO.

Jaya, your hair looks really frizzy. As a planeswalker, don't you think you culd change that?
And, no, she doesn't have curly hair.

The difference between this and Red Elemental Blast is that this card can target non-blue cards.
Something worth pointing out, I suppose.

Imprint this baby on the Isochron Scepter and play Painter's Servant you now have a stick that reads: : Counter target spell or destroy target permanent.
1. Pyroblast can target Phantasmal Image (copying a non-blue creature) to make it disappear. 2. A blue mage can cancel Pyroblast with Misdirection and changing the target to a non-blue permanents. 3. If you have extra mana in a Storm combo, you can use Pyroblast on any permanent to make your Tendrils of Agony bigger.
There are advantages and disadvantages to either card. I recommend Red Elemental Blast because it's harder to Redirect, unless you play Storm cards or your friends play Phantasmal Image.

Water mages? How many of those have we even seen in Magic? Like, the number of cards that depict water being manipulated directly are pretty rare, I can think of maybe 5 right now... Oh well, still a nice card.

As of Theros block and Heroic, this is now strictly better than Red Elemental Blast. You can target any of your nonblue creatures to get a heroic effect, and you can't do that with REB
Although I suppose it was really Skulking Ghost that made it strictly better...

Then again, probably not.

Run four Pyroblast and four Red Elemental Blast, exile Simian Spirit Guide to counter their force of will
Let's assume Jaya is level 80 and Jace is level 50. He gets burnt regardless.
