I like how this card clearly illustrates what it does. That Thorn Elemental in the background is the one you summoned!

I hate elves, but this gets a 5/5 because it features Thorn Elemental.

Should he be a Druid or a Shaman?

Tap this and 4 other elves and Vitalize to get 2 tokens in one turn with only 5 creatures.

awesome! especially since many elf decks get loooads of tokens you can get like three elementals a turn. Really really want a couple for my elf deck now...

If you had two voice of the woods in play, would that produce two token or would you have to tap ten creatures?

@Bankai_Samurai: No, the tapping creatures is part of the effect, in the same way that you can't spend the same mana on multiple spells, so multiples of this guy are redundant (Though it does give you another elf to tap).

I only rated this a three until I realized you can keep making more elementals, this turn or the next.

You should pretty much never be casting this unless you can use its ability right there and then, unless you really, really need a 2/2 Elf to avoid utter calamity.

I never interpreted the art in the background as Thorn Elemental.
Despite the lack of the 'Rhox combat ability' it might be possible.
It would at least explain why it looks so much more like a treefolk.

Yet another card that combos with Intruder Alarm in ridiculous ways. As long as you had at least five elves on the board, you would get infinite 7/7 trampling elementals. And if you can't win with that, well, you should probably just stop playing.

That smug elf in the foreground really gets my goat.

This card is an A+ example of "Win More" cards. My Elves vs. Goblins Duel Decks experience was quite memorable: I put an Ajani Goldmane and 2 plains into the deck and basically left the rest as is.

I am SHOCKED at how rare and valuable an unopened box is so many years later, but it's *almost* worth the price, and just plain picking up playsets of the Ambush Commander and Voice of the Woods is a necessary investment for any die-hard fan of Elves.

I was playing against 3 other people. Their decks were all much better than mine (or so I thought)- a Kamigawa Saprolings deck with Essence Warden was making as many tokens as me, but not as much life. I remember the first card I ever DEARLY wished I had more of was Wellwisher :) I don't remember the other decks, but I remember they were reasonably good, if not quite FNM-tier.

It wasn't exactly tense, but everyone had enough threats so that people thought it was going to take a long time to play out a ridiculous series of combats. Nobody had any Wrath of Gods in their decks.

The game ended when the table noticed I had over 300 life, 7 Ents, and an Ajani ready to make a 300/300 creature. Everyone Triple Concessioned, completely obseleting all the turns it took to create that board state. It was hilarious. I'm pretty sure we all sucked, but it was easily the most fun and memorable game I can remember.

Advice: Don't ever let a game with an Elf Deck start unless AT LEAST ONE person is playing a Red-Black Deck. White/Blue, Green/White, and Mono-Red usually lose to Elves in multiplayer. :D

Also that Ajani was the first rare I pulled from my first major Sealed Magic purchase: A Lorwyn Tournament Pack. Those were the good old days....I'm going to go ebay my favorite cards from that Deck now...:3
