Great card. Put it in a saproling deck where you can just use a thallid to eat the enchanted saproling, then find a Verdant Force or Mycoloth.

Sick card especially with dumb creatures like Progenitus.

Again, Wizards proves they are idiots.
Tutoring for ANY creature in your deck is good enough (especially if they lowered the cost), but allowing it to be put into play (and all the subsequent brokenness and violation of manacost-balancing it entails) is just STUPID.

I see this on an Eldrazi Spawn. I also see that spawn being the reason my opponent is crushed by Emrakul, The Aeons Torn on the fourth turn. This card promises much fun :)

T1: Play Swamp for Death Cultist
T2: Play Forest and tap Swamp for Dark Ritual. Play this on the Cultist and sac the Cultist to activate the effect of the card. Search for whatever you want, like Emrakul, Aeons Torn. Get an extra turn and deal 15 damage.

asandberge/ you don't get an extra turn because you didn't cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Still . . ridiculous card . .

Awesome card - assuming your opponent doesn't kill the enchantment target before this resolves, which they will assuredly do if they can. Also not so good against white's exiling shenanigans.

Suprised this isn't one of those crazy expensive cards that hit the double and triple digit price tags despite being illegal in most formats. I guess that's because while awesome it's actually pretty fair (well maybe it's part of some annoying early game win combos but in casual/legacy those are a dime a dozen).

Works really nicely with Yavimaya Elder.

Iridescant Drake, this, Ashnod's altar= get all your creatures into play AND have a bucket of colorless mana...do it 'before the end of opponents turn.'

Place on Eternal Witness. Sac her. Pull out Artisan of Kozilek. Laugh in their faces as you bring her back out with the Pattern.

its like a better or worse natural order. its good for not having to target a green creature, its bad because you have to get rid of the creature instead of just getting the big fatty, both are great both are usable. the true difference is the price PATTERN OF REBIRTH 1.99, NATURAL ORDER 40.00

EDH question here:

so, my friend has pattern of rebirth on his Butcher of Truth... i rend flesh that with a taped mimic vat out...

i say that i get a chance to imprint it on the vat before the creature pops into the yard, but he disagreed, saying his guy hits the yard THEN i get to exile it, causing this to go off and letting him search for a creature that destroys my Vat.

am i right?

@vomitron6000 Both effects happen at the same time, so he gets his creature and you get yours imprinted.

Best slapped on something that deals heavy damage while having pathetic life to make it a hard choice for the opponent. Nova Chaser maybe, though an unblocked Nova Chaser is probably more of a threat than anything you could fish up with the Pattern. Maybe Deadly Insect?

@unbahque72 No, you can not pull anything when putting Artisan of Kozilek onto the battlefield with this aura.
I wonder when will finally everyone get the difference between play(cast) and put into play(put onto battlefield).

This card is nuts. When I first saw it, I though I must have misread it. Nope. It really DOES get any creature in your deck onto the battlefield (provided the enchanted creature dies). I've had good luck with putting this on Yavimaya Elder.

@ethodrummerboy: Price indeed! I can afford to put this in my EDH deck. Natural Order, not so much.

I put this card in my Uril EDH deck, and I gotta say that I love it. Opening up with it and either a self-sacrificing creature like Yavimaya Elder or Sakura-Tribe Elder or a sacrifice engine like Greater Good or Greater Gargadon usually means an early Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or looping shenanigans with Sun Titan, Nomad Mythmaker and/or Eternal Witness, and this card. And if you don't have that, you can always play it on a creature to force people to think twice about nuking the board until they can deal with the creature that comes out. It's even better when your opponents can't target it thanks to Sterling Grove. This is definitely one of my favorite non-combat Auras.

Too bad I'm too stupid to know how to abuse this card.

"Searching for a creature card is optional. You can't go back and do it if you forget to do so, even if you normally do this."

Hah, Wizards is getting pretty judgy about how casual we all take our Magic these days. Don't even think about a take back, even if you usually just play casual.
