Sadly, under the new combat rules it can't 4-for-1. But it's still good, it's still good!

Very nice card, I use to play him in my Rock deck. He should be reprinted.

Zendikar wants him. Not only does he search up 2 basic lands when he dies, he has 'cycle from play', so you can kill him whenever you need to get the land, and get an extra card for it.

Damn... this is pure card advantage for green. Pump this out turn 2, and get an extra 3 cards in your hand turn 3. If your opponent bolts him you still get the free lands. Once he's on the field you could hit him with Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile. And if you do that you are still giving your opponent some sort of advantage. If you have two mana, you could sac him in response and get the draw anyway. So it kind of reads: If you don't counter this card, your opponent is going to get ahead of you no matter what.

You know how good Solemn Simulacrum is? Well this guy's better. If you're playing green in EDH, you play him. No questions asked.

Amazing card, free two points of damage per turn, until the opponent gets sick of it and then lets you land-ramp :D Beautiful. Oh, and you get to draw a card, LOL.
Amazing stuff.

i used an animation spell on this guy then i tried to kill it, because of the wording "is put into graveyard" instead of "would be ..." my friends said that the ability checks after he goes to MY OPPONENTS graveyard so i dont get the triggers to fetch up two lands. pls help, (also its the same wording for the new spell bombs, and im playing a reanimation deck in commander/EDH and this kind of ruling is important to be aware of)
also this is really bothering me, pls help someone

HOHOHO Also, Ichiroson, get new friends, your friends have no idea how to play this game. YOUR cards never go into an OPPONENT'S graveyard. They can only go into your own.

A great card that became even better with Zendikar's release. Elder + Lotus Cobra is consistent ramp.

A prime target for Unearth for insane card advantage. This used to be even better with old damage rules. Still amazing because you can still block, sacrifice for a card, and get two lands. With recursion this is completely sick. Lifeline means you thin things out a lot.

absolutely a staple in green.

He wasn't even that much more powerful with damage on the stack, certainly not ten times more powerful. The two mana open was incredibly telegraphed, only a poor player would knowingly give you that.

I dont think he could keep up with modern magic, but a good card.
