Why yes, yes it is. 5 mana for effects you have to have specific creatures on the field other than it to get? This isn't Yugioh...

Should have the following abilities:

Protection from birds.
Tap: Exile target Storm Crow.

Blazethorn Scarecrow is useless as long as you own it.(Frankly, not owning it doesn't change much.)

Hopefully you have the Reaper King to go with it.

I love how the Reaper King makes all of these Scarecrows with 2 abilities go off when hes on the field.

Honestly the 2 abilities with him being a 3/3 artifact creature at 5 mana is sufficiently costed. I had him in a deck WITH boggart ram gang. I could only have 4 gangs in the deck, so he filled the need for more.

At 5 mana if you're rolling with those colors, he should be able to have both the abilities active by the time he hits the field. I like him. Probably my favorite of the series of Scarecrows that do this.

But I also love the Scarecrow tribe. Want more!

I tried to make a scarecrow deck and the joke was on me. All scare crows have conditional abilities that require a Colored creature to by active. They are the exact opposite of Slivers in that way. Slivers are good on their own, but better when another sliver provides additional boosts in abilities.

It's technically on-curve:
{3} = 3/3 (this is debatable)
{1} and {1} for two abilities

But the problem lies in that wizards realized that as creatures go up in cost they need exponential-like growth. They have to make up for every turnt hey weren't attacking, the fact they get eaten by 1-2 mana spells, the fact that they've been a dead card this whole time.

This is why 2 colored mana + this - {1} = Titan now.
Why? Because removal
Because aggro
Because cool

@Treima
Except that they came out in the same set
Neither is restricted/broken
Running this requires a deck that you'd likely put the ram-gang into in the first place.
