most of these cycler guys in arb are alright for their roles. but defender, come on.

A less than average card, at least the art work is good.

What is this crap? At least you can get rid of it for a land...

6 Mana for a 3/6 doesn't convince me, and making it a defender only makes it worst. The only bright-side is it's land cycle ability. If I had to use or wanted a defender it would be Wall of Denial.

the only way this would get over a 1 star is if they added 2: Cycle.

I don't know why but I really like this artwork, too bad that this card sucks.

nice artwork, but the cost is too high for what you get.

3.5 because you can combo with artifact based graveyard recursion easy. I.E open the vaults

I combo it with Skeleton Shard for easy, repeatable landcycling. Card advantage, here I come!

Killer art! Only good in limited, though.

Terrible creature, but great for finding a Plains in a BUW artifact deck.

Not horrible... He never sees the battlefield, but I like the instant speed for searching a Mistveil Plains or a Moonring Island in my five color Cascade deck (the colorless cycling cost is revelant). In this strategy (Cascade), he also gives to me an additional trick to shuffle my library...
Very ok in a White/Blue control deck that needs a lot of mana...
Also, synergistic with Esper strategy (Sanctum Gargoyle). Nearly 3/5...

I like to think there's no flavour text because the guys in front of it are lost for words.

I really liked the older mutant cycle cards, 6 mana, a descent keyword ability, and landcycling in their color.
While reminiscent of them but not as good, they dam well came in handy in the pre-release and I usually will chuck one or two into a color intensive deck for support, they still come in handy.
remember these don't have to search for basic lands so you can use them to grab dual lands too, and for colorless mana as well, I don't really get why this is rated so low. If you cannot afford it, cycle it. If you can, its not a bad defender, the high cost is for utility!

It all makes sense.
The plowbeast kills himself plowing the land for your new plains or island.
Fantastic.

If it didn't have defender anyway.

why did they give it defender?? anyway, you could put it in a deck if you desperately need mana fixing, like some UW edh.

Play with Skeleton Shard in Esper-colored artifact-heavy EDH deck for best results... This setup also encourages you to run Duplicant, Phyrexian Metamorph, Sad Robot, etc.

3/6 for 6 defender is terrible, but it gets better when you cycle him and return it with Trading Posts.

I think the flavor here is that they kill the beast, and use his horns to either plow a field or dig some new sea. 2/5 Stars

Bant meets Esper, I love this guy. I feel like he and Nulltread Gargantuan could be best friends.
