.8 stars? Come now, he's not THAT bad! .8 stars puts him on the same level as Takeno's Cavalry or Sorrow's Path! Don't get me wrong, the Grimeblotter is bad, but he's not that bad. As Forgeling pointed out, he's got some use with a Drowner of Secrets.

I also don't think he is THAT bad either, after all if he attacks you can activate his untap ability and give his blocker a -2 attack... That counts for something, right?

I'm in agreement with either of Mode's ideas. I guess the color versatility took a toll on his cmc/p-t ratio. Though he is very versatile in his color.
