Its really hard to tell if they are wearing masks or not.

While not the best Survival of the Fittest support card, it's still good in an EDH deck. Also works nicely to recover from Wrath effects.

@ Silverware: Yeah the title kinda helps out with that.

Seriously consider this in an elf deck. Most elf decks will have the mana spare to pull this out and it's a decent body to start beating/blocking with. The real beauty of the card comes with it's graveyard ability. If for some reason you are forced into a late game this card will push you ahead. Not only can you bring it back graveyard and cast it again, but it will draw you another card. I will often use this to attack late game even when I know it will die achieving nothing, just so I can bring it back and draw an extra card. This card is very powerful card advantage when you have the mana and a decent powered elf when it's in play.

Sort of a not so good vengevine. Still not horrible. 3.5/5

It also has a very nice interaction with Bloodbond March, since you'll almost always be able to return all of them to the battlefield once you've gotten them into your graveyard. Just play a creature, pay {g}{g} to return this guy and then replay him to both fill up your hand and strengthen your board presence by alot

If you're already using Coat of Arms to get super elves, drop these (to draw a card), then fire off a Mercy Killing. Suddenly you get a swarm of elves. Play another elf and they're back (and you can draw another card).
Besides avoiding Wrath like Sarisa mentioned, it's good in EDH for the cantrip and the fact that the mana he eats is less of a loss if you're playing in that format. Especially with green. Especially with elves.
Anyway, I run him in my EDH elf deck, and I have to say his art is my favorite in the deck. I also like the flavor. It's like they're part of a secret cult of relentless stalkers.
Too bad elves don't have the internet. I have a feeling these dudes would enjoy it.

Not bad but I think I would rather use Wall of Blossoms, and in an elf deck there is always the two drop elvish visionary, which I personally use 4 of in my elf deck. It's quick and more importantly, it's cheap. Once you have out a pumper or two like Joraga Warcaller, Elvish Champion, Imperious Perfect, I could go on forever, Elvish Visionary gets bigger and more useful into the later turns. Overall, this card is a cool card and is unique, but Elves need cheap fast mana producers and power boosters. Just don't see it making the cut.

this seems comparable to bloodbraid elf. both are 4 cmc 3/2 elves. masked admirers draws a card, bloodbraid elf cascades into one. then the biggest differences are that the masked admirers are mono green and that bloodbraid elf trades in masked admirers' recursion ability for haste; that is, a late game, mana costly (if you pay for it to return to your hand and then replay it) abilty for a speedier one. bloodbraid elf has it beat by a lot in my opinion.

Works quite nicely with Fauna Shaman. Nice in an elf deck!

I'm still puzzled by the fact that this is a 'group creature' that doesn't have a P/T that's equal to the amount of creatures seen in the art (so each of them would represent a 1/1 Elf). Maybe the one who bows down in the middle symbolizes that he gets caught off-guard, so we're only left with two toughness from the other elves to his left and his right? Does this make sense?
About the card itself, i'd say it's really reliable. Getting a 3/2 cantrip for four mana is alright, especially if you can easily return him from your graveyard the next time you pay an extra two mana with the next creature you cast (which, again, kind of works like a cantrip). The creature types are also useful. It bugs me a bit that it requires and not , but Wizards probably didn't want decks to benefit from that card without running green.
They would make a great pick in limited.

Jarad's Orders, this guy into grave and ANY creature (prolly elf) and you got yourself a +2CA (recursion to hand, and draw upon ETB)
I thought it was pretty good before I realized it cantriped.

can someone explain to me the flavor of having creepy elves admire you while wearing masks? i mean, I understand the beauty obsessed, racist, punk elves from Lorwyn, but why the mask? so they wouldn't get their ugly all over your beauty? what?

Or - the one on the ground dying is extremely beautiful but of a lower station in their society and possibly a source of jealousy and seen as a threat by someone higher in their society. Thus the creepy flavor text and the need for masks on the part of the *sarcastic* "Admirers."

Some of my favorite art in Magic, and it if course helps that the card is not without merit, either.
