Should stop your teammates from attacking one another on a Star Match... cool.
I found this card by clicking "Random Card."

Is this the only card that explicitly refers to a multiplayer format?

I think it might be, with the exception of a handful of Unglued cards. It's going to be fantastic for anyone who plays Archenemy.

Its an Ivory Mask for one more mana, but it shares the wealth.

Also... It allows you to target yourself... Potentially a powerful trick if you have a lot of cards that say "target player" for instance: Alabaster Potion, Allied Strategies etc.

Even ignoring that, ivory mask is slightly more color heavy. In my opinion, this is the better card, and I have never played multi-player.

@achilleselbow: Well, that's the first time I see the word "teammates", but spells that say "each other player" are somewhat a reference for multiplayer too.

should just say "any number of target players" instead of "each of you teammates"

Solid gold for the good guys in an archenemy game.

I never noticed the "teammates" on this card. Great in Archenemy and hoses creatureless burn decks.

reminds me of Repo: The Genetic Opera.

@achilleselbow
There are many cards in the Un-sets that are geared toward having teammates or multiple enemies. Then there is the whole Archenemy theme, most of those Schemes are meant to give you an advantage over multiple players. Then in 'regular' Magic we have cards like Breath of Malfegor, which is in no way priced (mana-wised) for a duel.

But, yeah. The keyword 'teammates' is only used on this card and four Unglued cards:
Checks and Balances
Get a Life
Organ Harvest
Team Spirit

@achilles elbow - Blood Tyrant and Withengar Unbound both refer to a player losing the game, but this one is the only one referring to teamplay as far as I know.

@achilleselbow At the time of your comment it might have been, and maybe still is depending on how you define "refers to a multiplayer format". But Command Tower refers to the commander, which you only use in the Commander format.

@MechaKraken - the reason it specifies "if it isn't a token" is because without that statement, this card would create an infinite loop in a team game. With this wording, the tokens that the mask spawns don't create more tokens.

Easy way to explain the infinite loop if it DIDN'T have that phrase:

You play the mask
When your mask comes into play, your ally gets a token
When your ally's mask comes into play, you get a token
When that token comes into play, your ally gets another
Etc.

As infinite loops with no way to end them are an automatic draw, the phrase excluding the tokens from creating tokens is what keeps this from being a game ending spell.

One of the Future Sight cards, with cool art and a weird ability?

This is on my list of cool cards :D

I think any white Two-Headed Giant deck should run this, it's just too good in that format.
