I don't see why this card gets only a 3.5. It's a 6/6 flyer, at which point 8 mana isn't all that pricy, and it's capable of infinite pyroclasms on ground-bound critters, plus it can deal with other dragons (which tend to be 6/6) with the second ability. I give it a 4/5.

Just a cool card, great for casual. A bit expensive on the CMC but at least he has nice artwork...

This really is a scourge. It can obliterate everything save for itself, then lay the smackdown on anyone who stands in its way.

This guy's an absolute beast in multiplayer, singlehandedly giving you absolute control over the board. Weenies will cower in terror as you pummel them and he doesn't even let other dragons stick around with his second ability. I love this card!

I prefer to call it The Scourge of Kher Ridges. In my mind, he deserves the title, he can completely dominate the board.

Give deathouch (preferably with Quietus Spike) for easy board sweeps.

Scourge? Say hello to your new Dragon EDH deck

Awesome art, great abilities, and not a half bad mana cost. I'd say this card is a keeper. Strongest against creature-based decks for obvious reasons. Bye bye angels, bye bye dragons, bye bye elves, bye bye goblins, and you can forget about protection from red. His abilities don't target. As Lord_Ascapelion said, "This guy's an absolute beast in multiplayer."

@Cleansingfire, protection prevents damage from its source too. So creatures that have protection from red can survive against this card

One of my all time favorite dragons.

One of the 'best' cards ever printed. There's nothing like a really fun card that some spike would call unplayable. Give your copies to me, spike! I know how to use it.

Wierd dragon. It's Future Sight, though, so what can you say?

This is a very powerful card; though its an easy target for Doom Blade.

The only thing I dislike about this card is... although the abilities read like Rough // Tumble, in truth the two abilities are almost identical, since you could kill any 6-toughness by, say, activating the Rough side three times. This seems a bit inelegant to me.

As for the card... it destroys a whole army of creatures plus anyone else who dares enter the battlefield, and does so every turn. It's like a better (more controllable) Novablast Wurm.

This guy can be rough to the little critters on the ground, but it can also make the other fatties in the sky tumble.

(Forced sentence is forced.)

slapped him in my Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck for whenever I need a sweep. It's quite convenient

Arrgh. I play Kaalia of the Vast. Of course, it would go into any Sarkhan Vol EDH (when you're talking about Dragons, you AREN'T ALLOWED to call it C********) See that? The Gatherer even censored it. It really IS a rule.

But with Kaalia, uergh. So many Dragons...and I still need to make room for auto-include Demons like Rune-Scarred and Reiver, and auto-include Angels like...well, Angels kind of have Dragons' problems to be honest. Baneslayer and Akroma feel wrong. Don't ask me why. It's an inexplicable psychological block. Serra Angel and Lord of the Pit from the Divine vs. Demonic Duel Decks, because nothing is strictly better than playing good old 90's classics. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

So, Scourge of Kher Ridges is a fine Dragon, but Kaalia wants to play THREE tribes of epic monsters, and that's quite a constraint.

Fantastic with Kaalia of the Vast in Commander. Swing, drop, spend your mana on bombing the ground with your Rolling Temblor on a stick.

This is one of my favorite cards. I wish he was legendary he would be an incredibly fun general. He is insane when given a Basilisk Collar or the Sword of Kaldra.

Not legendary? What sort of god-forsaken hellscape has more than one of these things???

A modern reference to a classic.

I find it amusing that if he loses flying his first ability damages himself.

Doaj, this was printed literally one set after Rough//Tumble
