This card is really expensive with little payoff if your health is 10 or less.
...Still, though highly impractical I have always wanted to perform an instant kill by playing Beacon of Immortality with False Hope. I would only get away with it once, but the reaction would be priceless.

I'm guessing you meant False Cure? Yeah, I kinda want False Cure because a guy I play with has Beacon. Way more fun than a counter, and it fits my deck's theme.

It's insane in a life-gain deck.Then just use a Test of Endurance.

Yeah i love this card built a deck around life gain naturally i had a few of these in it. Instant win with the Beacon + 4 Boon Reflections + Sanguine Bond. Then again I could just do the good ole' beacon someone else after playing false cure.

Wonder how this card would work if it were imprinted... as the imprint couldn't be put into library.

I'm looking for this card and Primal Command. I hear there are stores everywhere that can give you the exact card you're looking for. Is this true?

If you imprinted it, I'm pretty certain it would double your life total, then you'd shuffle your library.

Life x 2. I played with my bro, he had 48 life and the next moment he had 96.

Not that 96 is big, but still..

No fair in EDH.

Well except for the one time I Wild Ricocheted my opponent's Beacon...

As this counts as life gain, it's an automatic 1-of in my BlackWhite Sanguine Bond life gain attrition deck. Talk about an obvious finisher.

Even better than the silly card stores, there are desktop computers with printers everywhere that can give you proxy cards good enough to play in casual environments.

Only works properly in a dedicated life gain/control deck (Or EDH). Otherwise, by the time you cast this it could very well be horribly inefficient, and net you less than 10 life. With a life gain deck however, it's an entirely different story where this can be nightmarishly efficient quite easily.

Frequent mistake... does NOT GAIN life, doubles life, for example... false cure wouldn't work. Great card though, but better if it read, "You gain life equal to your life total."

@talcumpowder0046: rulings say Beacon of Immortality's effect counts as life gain. Similar to the ruling for Tree of Redemption. Setting life to a total counts as gaining or losing the difference.
