Yeah, it's COMMON!!!
Simply essential in a fungus deck, no question.

Love this for my thallid deck, although the fungus sliver + sporesower thallid combo makes for some bizarre fun.

not all that great, sense most fungi have an ability like that anyway, but it does make it take a turn less, wich is a plus.

if I had 4 sporoloth ancients would each one put a counter on all of them?

lol bijart_dauth, do use use thallids? cutting the need a 1/3 that's huge, and by giving it to all creatures sporesower thalid can make all your fungi thalids. for 2 spore. Damn your Mycoloth is really getting goin now, huh? so just let me whip out a paradox haze and a contagion engine

I haven't played with or against a fungus deck, but I still wonder about this card's playability. If It was lower on the curve, then it could find a home at say 3 mana for a 1/1 or 2/2. Instead it competes with Mycoloth for the 5cmc slot. Yes, this is green, and green does mana ramp well, but how many spaces do you have for support cards just to get this one card to work? Sporesower Thallid fits the curve much better.

@Wormfang: No. The "Sporoloth Ancient" on the card just meanss "this ability puts a counter on this card." This goes for any card with its cardname in the text, it only means it is refering to itself. Each turn your fungi are only getting 1 spore counter, unless you're using Sporesower Thallid, Thelon of Havenwood, any of the numerous proliferate spells, or the quite expensive Doubling Season.

lol @ a very Fallen Empires-type card in Future Sight.

This would've owned in Fallen Empires though.

Use with doubling season to get two saprolings a turn from every thallid :)

I loved this card, I am still waiting to see this card in future sets. Wizards did a good thing by showing us possible mechanics in future sets. But I wonder if they have forgotten about these cards entirely.

Doesn't stack so, while a must have for a thallid deck, only use 2 or 3.

As long as Uncommon exists, there's no reason to get rid of Mythic Rarity. As long as we want Draft to be a format, there's no reason to have any problem with the current Rarity structure.

However, I'm just saying that if we repealed Draft as a Format and made every card Common, Constructed would be a lot happier. :P

Also this looks like it's got a Sliver head. :)

I'm going to have a LOT to say about various Sliver artworks for M14, but ultimately- it makes a big difference whether you've got a FACE or not- the other changes are possibly acceptable/explainable. It's the FACES that really feel the most jarringly UnSliver-like.
