Aawwww, how cute, those cats are murdering that hippo. It makes me feel secure inside, knowing that the brutality of nature still persists on through time.

I'd like to see this reprinted (with this art of course).

I love how good regenerate is these days. Jesus, regenerate was annoying when Terror and Wrath of God were legal, now the ability just seems awesome. Now they just have to print a decent creature that regenerates.

Hippo and alligator seem like creature types that would make good candidates for green morph cards, both skulking under the waterline as 2/2's then BAM! popping up to swallow you whole.... or get eaten alive by badass cats.

@JCorpora: Thrun, the Last Troll is reallly decent. Although he can't be hit by removal anyway...

I'd find them much more interesting if regeneration required no mana to activate.
(Saccing a forest - which will also reduce their power and toughness by one - still is a comparably steep price, but that's why i said "interesting", not "necessarily more efficient than a simple cost of Green" :P)

At any rate, you'll probably be better off paying 2 less for a treefolk instead that lacks regeneration completely,
but makes up for it with Hexproof instead: Dungrove Elder.
