Crappy equipment. You pay 4 mana, need a creature in play that you can equip and that can attack, and then just deal a lousy additional damage, and sometimes fling some -1/-1 counters around in case your opponent feels like blocking... man that's bad.
Just play some good equipment instead. Or a creature. Or anything good...

Looks fine for me: more power, adds wither, 2 mana, the equip should be more cheap; beside that its not a bad card for been a "had to add this equipment that adds the new damage ability thing" common card.

I use this in a combo with Vein Drinker so that it can more consistantly get kills.
anything that does a blanket of damage is awesome with this, like earthshaker, it is 2 -1/-1 counters and he is a 5/5 if you tossed him in the air
other cards, anything with FS, oros, the avenger, tibor and lumia

Ok you have to wait a bit to get it into play but then those creatures with low power can actually have some effect vs bigger things. Also good for wearing down walls not to mention Double Strike effects !!!

@majinara do you even understand how this game works???? in a format like EDH where colours like red have difficulty dealing with indestructible creatures (ahem avacyn, angel of hope) this is a spectacular answer and MUCH less of a mana sink and aggro magnet than running grafted exoskeleton not everything in this game is about timmy/spike "I win so hard it hurts" strategy. There's a lot of us Johnnies out there.
