Yepp, very true. If you're lucky, you get 2 or 3 lands with the cap (even though that's actually not the point^^) so you can play Mind Funeral better then...^^

It doesn't say they go back on the Library if it leaves play... hmm. Looks like a wonderful new toy for a Vedalken Mastermind.
Also, a question from one budding expert to another:
I cast the Scepter and morphxile five cards from my opponent's library. When I return the scepter to my hand with Vedalken Mastermind, it leaves play. Then when it I recast it next turn, it enters the battlefield as a whole new permanent with no relation to it's previous existance. Since when a card refers to itself by name, it refers to the specific permanent it is and not any other permanents that share it's name or permanents that did at one time share it's name, it DOESN'T allow me to use the first five cards I morphxiled as counter fodder, only the newer set of five. Right? Or wrong?

The cool thing that does come out of that, Fictionarious, is that you can bounce it indefinitely (no infinitely, without a good combo), and continuously exile the top five cards of that player's library. I'm fairly certain this is possible, as you have stated that it doesn't return the cards once the Scepter leaves play. I like your direction with that; and it seems like that'd be a cool deck to construct. Thanks for the idea! :)

Right, Fictionarious. It's a whole new perm, and when something refers to itself, it refers to the perm it is, not all other perms with the same name.

@Fictionarious, When it comes into play again, it does NOT remember cards that it exiled before. They stay exiled but you can't use them to counter anything. Similar to how 2 different Jester's Scepters can't use each others exiled cards.

Just Repeal it whenever the imprinted cards are about to run out. You get to mill five and counter some spells each time.
