Good against burn and practical in combat, but the cost to put counters on it is somewhat expensive and it doesn't seem too have much utilization other than damage prevention.

At it is just too expensive even at casual tables. Perhaps one could use the counters for other things like Power Conduit.
When Wizards has fun with bears, they really have fun with bears.

I like this card a lot - very nice art, a solid creature (it might as well be a 3/7 when it comes in) and a useful, fun ability. You would probably want to play it with Heartstone or Training Grounds to get the best out of it, though.

So a Fylgja is a self-healing polar bear? Makes sense, I guess... A bit expensive though.
3/3 for 5 is pretty weak. I dont think the damage prevention makes up for it, but it would be okay as a filler card.

This and Phantasmal Bear are the only nongreen bears in magic. Fun times. Also, what's up with that name?
