I even had it in a deck, when Ice Age was released. ^^ The only good thing about the card is it's art. I guess you could use it on a creature that tends to deal damage to itself, or if you need something to fuel Power Conduit. Even then it's costy, clunky and cries for card disadvantage.

Inviolability puts this thing to shame.

Looks like someone photoshopped this to correct white's original mana symbol that was printed on the actual card. Amazing art.

This was stapled to a creature in the form of Ursine Fylgja. Beats me what a fylgja is though.

@Bluecash: Not quite. Fylgja (and Prismatic Ward) have always had the new mana symbol on Gatherer despite having the old mana symbol on the card. However, Fylgja used to have the wrong casting cost on Gatherer, and it was shopped to correct that. The full story is on the Magic: The Gathering website (Magic Arcana for 26 May 2011).

From Wikipedia:

In Norse mythology, a fylgja (Old Norse, literally "someone that accompanies,"1 plural fylgjur) is a supernatural being or creature which accompanies a person in connection to their fate or fortune. Fylgjur usually appear in the form of an animal and commonly appears during sleep, but the sagas relate that they could appear while a person is awake as well, and that seeing one's fylgja is an omen of one's impending death. However, when fylgjur appear in the form of women, they are then supposedly guardian spirits for people or clans

Thanks, Wprundv!

The artwork is awesome, very beautiful.

Though I imagine this dialogue:

Ice angler: "Hum, di dum, nothing biting today."
*Spectral bear appears*
Ice angler: "AHHHHHHHH!!! BEAR!!"
Fylgja: "Cool it, bro, I'm your fylgja!"
Ice angler: "AHHHHH!! I'M GONNA DIE!!!"
Fylgja: *facepaw*
