I say best sliver out there. It doesnt need other slivers to be good, by itself its a 3/3 regenerator for 3 mana. Pretty amazing, and only gets better in multiples of itself. I have won many games ridden on the back of this guy.

It was certainly extremely strong in TSP draft. Backbreaking, even. It's the cheapest regeneration available for slivers, and comes with a pump as well. Only drawback is you need red mana and swamps - and other sources of black mana won't count, which is tricky if you're building a multicolour sliver deck because you'd like to use nonbasics or artifacts or whatever to splash your colours.

regen is more useful than the pump, and you can use it from gemhide

awsome value for a 3/3 regen for the most of the time. The more you use, the more powerful they get, with spitting sliver it is a lot of fun. Also, it has the best overall regen for slivers because it costs one, albeit black mana, and it is not targeted, Yay for regen and crystalline sliver!

Lol... pure relentless force of destruction... you dont even need sliver deck for it, just Red Black deck with this one and Fury Sliver for even more fun

Sedge troll on Tribal crack.
And Richard Kane Ferguson.

Great, much better than Clot Sliver in a 5 color deck, b/c Clot costs more and can't get around Crystalline Sliver's shroud

"All Slivers become trolls in addition to being slivers" would have been an additionally nice homage. ;)

@Superllama: Umm, Clot Sliver has the same exact wording as this one: it too gets around shroud. And it costs one less, although in the sense of bang-for-buck, it's more expensive. Of course I'd still use this over Clot.

But slivers are already very effective trolls! ;)

Richard Kane Ferguson, people! Of course it's a great art!

Plus, this is one of the few sliver that can be quite asymmetrical, if your opponent doesn't play Swamps...

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
Specifically, each Sliver in Time Spiral and Planar Chaos derive their ability and mana cost from a previously printed card. In addition, this was one of three rare slivers which intentionally reference creatures which cannot be reprinted due to the Reserved list, the other two being Plague Sliver and Pulmonic Sliver.

This Sliver is referencing Sedge Troll, a card which would be referenced again in Planar Chaos on Hedge Troll.

Hey nice, gives a +1/+1 and regenerate for Black to all slivers.

Love it, but don't use it. My five colour sliver deck is kind of light on basic lands, and has but one swamp. Sedge Sliver is the only reason I regret that fact. Bring back RKF and all the classic, wacky art. Magic has maybe one or two artists with distinctive styles these days. RKF, Rebecca Guay and Amy Weber forever. 5/5
