this card is cool because it works i any deck. this is when u use it if you have a lot of land and no life left and you think that with a little more time you can win or if you can see that next turn you will die. then you would lose any way you can sacrifice the lands.

Any card involved in a turn 1 kill is worth 5 stars to me. This card, forest, island, savage lands, fastbond, hedron crab, and crucible of worlds gives you "exodia."
"Captain, our combo enabler is online. Spine of Ish Sah is standing by."
"Fire!"

This card enforces a strong "My s**t is mine" policy.

My favorite interaction with this card thus far is Act of Treason/Reigns of Power deck. Take control of said creature, attack, then sac. Nasty.

Keeps people from taking your stuff Gets rid of things that become a burden Makes you *immune* to donate/bazaar trader Life gain in a pinch Makes stuff die instead of exile; which can be nice Doesn't slow down your curve etc..
There are better sac outlets depending on your color (black..) but this is a great one.
Can you use this with Sorin Markov? If I take control of another player and use their mana to pay the Claw's price can I gain life from their sacrifice (since it's actually mine due to Sorin)?
Thanks for the rating, but after double checking it doesnt work at all. Your opponent will have time to respond a mindslaver trigger on the stack by sacrificing the claws.
Also, JSgiant combo does not work either. If you notice, the land he corrected cannot be tapped for mana without sacrificing the two untapped lands. Otherwise it would be stronger then black lotus. There is just no way he can do that combo on turn 1 with those cards.
And I would recommend this in any EDH deck. For example if someone casts terminus while your commander is on the field, you can sacrifice and send him back to your command zone instead of getting him dunked to the bottom of the library.
