a 2/2 flash for UG is nothing bad. the flash is especially good in the 'graft' guild. but to counter a spell aimed at your creature makes it a very good card. I'm a fan. go simic!

wow
2/2 for 2 is good enough
team shroud until end of turn for 2 is even better!
this is still good in any blue decks =

This is surprisingly powerful for an older card.

It's quite funny. I never really knew the power this card had until today.

I used to use a pair of these with Cloudstone curio. And one time, this dude kept trying to kill my stuff! We were all saying "Dude, you cant target his creatures!"... good times. good times...

Haha. Tortoise Formation is like negative power creep on this.

I like how this is supposed to be a Beast.

Very efficient, makes a great response to any removal while you can get a 2/2 for 2cc that might find use as surprise blocker.
It's a little bit comparable to Vines of Vastwood, you decide which one suits better in your deck.

One of the main reasons why i thought about splashing blue for a beast deck - it gets even better with Wirewood Savage, could be fed to Ravenous Baloth even if you can't afford the green mana for some reason, and can do a good amount of damage with AEther Charge.

Also useful with bounce effects (like Trusted Advisor) or Momentary Blink (although the latter will kill him),
so you always have something to shroud your creatures.

Works SOOOO well with blue zombies.
POW! shroud for everyone, then you have a creature in the graveyard to fuel your Stiched Drake.

If it's cost was UG it would work wonders with stampeding wildebeests...

This is a badass 2-mana instant. It's playable in almost any Blue deck in which its creatures are important; but if you pay the {1} with {G}, then it turns into a 2/2 creature and stays in play.

It is my sincerest hope that this is reprinted in Return to Ravnica simply for that fact that it and Roaring Primadox would be legal together in standard... along with their buddies Ghostly Flicker and Acidic Slime, of course.

You'll usually want mizzium skin in mono-blue; debatable for simic decks obviously, depends if you'd rather have a {U} shroud 1 creature or a possible creature. I'd also note hexproof.

That said, countering something and earning a 2/2 is nice.

I play this in my Mimeoplasm EDH, and Havengul Lich wields this guy and Winged Coatl like nobody's business.

Okay, I know that Mimic Vat combos with every single enter-the-battlefield effect, but this one is just too delicious. Play Plaxmanta as an instant using only blue, make your creatures hexproof. Since you didn't pay its cost with any green mana, you must sacrifice it. As it goes to the graveyard, imprint it onto Mimic Vat. You may now make your creatures hexproof for 3 colorless.
