The current card text further clarifies what this card is supposed to do. Great addition to a few instant spells of the similar or identical kind. A sorcery spell for 1 mana, you get to “prevent” by denying your opponent a combat phase next turn: great bargain, 5 stars. Sure, I’d agree that an instant spell of identical effect would probably be the best case scenario, but there’s not too much difference in the timing/execution of either instant or sorcery for this effect. The artwork reminds me of some of the older styles of its kind. Ah, remember the storylines back then (flavour text).
