Part of the Ravnica subtheme of interesting Auras. Rather fickle since it could be lost when you were trying to put it on your creature (Shielding Plax or the many instant removals), but if it resolved, you just made yourself a great threat.

Yes, yes, we all know the argument against auras. They set you up for card disadvantage, can't be reused, whatever. Wurmweaver Coil, however, has a significant impact upon the game, and can be recycled into a new threat if your opponent tries to kill the creature it's enchanting. Not too shabby.

The picture totally hints at trample. No trample FTL. Used to be one of my favorite card.

My first rare :)

Makes your creature a beast, plus if your creature dies, you have a backup. :)

I use it in a deck built around Silhana Ledgewalker.

Judging by the picture, you'd think this card was an aura with "Totem Armor" from the Rise of the Eldrazi set.

Why'd they make this a wurm card? You'd think the card with CMC 6, buff +6/+6, create 6/6 would be the Enchantment of the Beast!

Let him who hath understanding
Reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty six

I pulled two of these and three Silhana Ledgewalker at the pre-release.... let just say those two together can win games in limited.

Was this card the inspiration for everyone's favorite colorless Titan, Wurmcoil Engine?

I never even noticed it was "Enchant green creature," because I played it in mono-green decks. Huh.

There must be trample somewhere...

This, along with Indrik Umbra, seems to suggest that the Ravnicans had some sort of access to a similar school of magic to totem armor, or at least that a planeswalker had transplanted it.

Though it includes both the word 'wurm' and 'coil' it is somehow not busted as hell. Cool card.

Yep, not a "Totem Armor"!
