no reason to play this at all.

Its blue, combo it with Halimar Depths? I mean come on, this thing is a control monster. I swear, some people just do not think.

Well, the "problem" with Tidings, at least in comparison to this, is that it's a sorcery, whereas this is an instant. That's not going to help this one, though...

This card isn't good, but it isn't bad either. It does two things Tiding couldn't:

1) Instant speed compare to Tiding's Sorcery.
2) It put cards into your graveyard. This may not sound useful but if you are relying on putting certain cards into your grave (or threshold requirement) the card does it for you. In a U/G threshold/flashback deck, you can always name 'creature', and dump the rest into your graveyard for flashback.

In a threshold deck this nets you 5 cards to your graveyard if you do it right (the four off the top of your library plus the Vigean Intuition after it resolves.)

A cool idea and lots of potential but in the end it's just not enough. Like the idea of cards that interact with card types though. I'd love to see a "card type faceoff" kind of block.

Hm... Instant speed, puts stuff in your graveyard, GU is the best color combination to know what are the top cards of your library... Still, this isn't the least bit appealing to me, and I'm a big U/G enthusiast.
If you care about the instant-speed card draw, run either Opportunity or Jace's Ingenuity instead.
If you care about sending stuff to your graveyard, run either Fact or Fiction, Truth or Tale, or Tracker's Instincts instead.
