Really good card for saving your beasties after blocking, or if they've been targeted with a spell or something. The fact that it's a simple tap makes this worth using in some situations, I think. If it cost more, probably not so much.

Not great, not terrible. I'm a R/G player so obviously I dislike any slow cards, but in a deck that isn't fast, I can see it has it's uses.

Yeah, if damage still went on the stack it would be fine-but now it isn't very good.

Although a little undervalued, it isn't really punchy... As a side note, this card was created when combat damages didn't go to the stack, and it worked actually like now...

Besides saving your creatures from uneventful doom blades, it's also very useful to allow "when it enters the battlefield..." effects, such as meddling mage or mystic snake. Costfull, maybe, but effective nevertheless.
