Whenever i see this card i shortly think of it as part of the Rock-Paper-Scissors Cycle from Unglued. Talking about printings, looks like this cat would never have become printed at all without these cards.
The flavor on this one is just odd... why can't the cat do anything if an enchantment is in play? Maybe the enchantment scares the cat? No idea, and this card was printed in a rather enchantment-heavy block (Rancor, etc.) thus ensuring its uselessness.

Oh, this is great! We should make versions for all blocks that get pacified by the major mechanics! Zendikar-Cannot attack or block if there is a land of the field. Innistrad- Cannot attack or block if there is a card in the graveyard Shadowmoor- Cannot attack or block if there is a colored permanent on the field. Core-Cannot attack or block if there is reminder text anywhere. Combos with Duh

Great with an enchantment that exchanges control of a creature. Add in Portcullis and you control the field. You are unblockable and they can't play creatures.

A bad card that has aged horribly... for such a serious drawback it should be a bigger creature... even something like a 5/5 for {3} or a 6/6 for {4} ... as is though, the risk just isn't worth it.
Being an artifact doesn't help either since it makes Wirecat also susceptible to cards like Shatter.

4/3 for 4 mana is purrfectly feline. I'd play this against an enchantress deck in Legacy, just to make them paws and say WTF? Of course, I'd have tons of Back to Nature or Paraselene effects.
