I could have sworn krakens, including the Kraken, were octopuses. I have no idea what that is.

The previous type "Monster" was even somewhat justified, at least when looking at the artwork - although it was no reasonable create type for magic, though. Yet this guy loooks more like a Kraken Mutant or Kraken Beast, doesn't it?

I really like this guy, no matter what people say, it's still an unblockable 6/6 ... I run it in a mono blue control deck as my finisher, I play 3 Sapphire Medallion and rarely play it for 8... usually I spend 7~8 to play it with Diplomatic Immunity... killer!

Obviously nobody here has seen Clash of the Titans? What a sad world we live in. But hey, there is a remake coming out, and the new kraken looks even more like this.

Doesn't really look like a kraken to me, but awesome card anyway. Art looks so evil there could be some black in this guy.
just more fodder for Ula's temple in my opinion. I would never play this if I planed to hard cast it. Much rather play its more expansive but suspending version, Deep-Sea Kraken

Kraken Smackin',
when attackin' a kraken remember that hackin' is not the most useful of skills
when attakin' a kraken remember that whackin' really won't give you a kill
when attackin' a kraken just run in and smack him as hard as you possibly can
though you'll probably die you'll still be the guy how tried to go kill a kraken
