I would have liked to see him actually snatching a skull. but this is a good card nonetheless.

This card is the Naruto of mtg ninja cards; its annoying, pointless, and nobody likes it. The only difference is that this creature is a rat and its not wearing a ridiculous orange jumpsuit, so its slightly better than Naruto.

It's a cheap ninja. Well-costed, sometimes-useful effect, and the Ninjutsu cost is fair. I'd play it if it didn't have the graveyard-exiling ability. And the art is amazing.

Bad? How can this be bad? Its the only ninja that has higher power than Ninjutsu cost. Also if you don't want to remove cards up to can include zero.

I agree, this guy is better than he seems at first glance. Good power with cheap Ninjutsu, and the lowest CMC of any Ninja. Turn one Shuriken, then this guy on turn two and you have some nice removal options that a typical Ninja deck doesn't see so quickly!

Well, it can be used to sneek in 2 damage if you swung with an ornithopter, but really i would rather have a ninja with a useful hit ability, as personally i would rather be animateing there creatures than exileing them.

Just asking because ive never used any ninjutsu cards ever, is it allowed to swap out multiple times if u have more ninjutsu cards? just wondering. Don't call me a noob if im way out there right now

4/5. This rat is actually fantastic. I've been tweeking my Rat Ninjutsu deck for a while and left this guy out because of his perk (my meta doesn't use alot of flashback so its no big to me about graveyard exiling). Compare in terms of damage to Throat Slitter. You're trading 2 mana for the perk of killing a nonblack assuming they have a nonblack. Still obv not as forceful as an Okiba-Gang or an Ink-Eyes but those are getting closer to bombs. This guy is great for those Turn 2-Turn 3 swings if you don't have something else ready, and rats can use any damage available to them, considering they're generally weak.
Turn1: Typhoid Rats
Turn2: They don't block because of Deathtouch, Ninjutsu out for and they take 2, you drop your typhoid rats back out for on turn 2 and have a Deathtouch blocker.

Also a good target to ninjutsu ravenous rats off.

Of all the cards I want with new art (which I know they aren't doing, so the point is moot) from the planechase 2012 decks, this is the one. It's the worst ninja (since I'd rather be ninjutsu'ing something bigger, or casting a better unblockable creature), and the art isn't helping it. Seriously, wtf is happening here.

@RAV0004: Are you kidding? The card's pretty mediocre, but this is the best art of all the ninja (with the possible exception of Throat Slitter).

Look at this guy, he's absolutely horrid. His fur is filthy, his weapons are crude, his demeanor is unpleasant, and his outfit is ugly. He's a ninja whose area of expertise is defiling corpses, which is the lowest and dirtiest job of an entire class of soldiers already known for undertaking the least honorable missions. This is exactly what he should look like.
