It's 6 power for 6 mana. A nice black finisher for any deck running discard and arcane.

I like this card, it's not one of the best in my deck, but it adds the "god damn it I've been saving these cards in my hand to kill you now I have to REMOVE THEM FROM THE GAME EVERY TIME YOU PLAY A SPELL!!!! (at least with my deck)" factor :) angers people.

Kamigawa keeps turning up surprising cards! This one just screams to be built around. I wouldn't mind a Spirit/Arcane Commander deck with Kyoki at the helm, and packed with discard effects - Kamigawa alone turns up nasties like Myojin of Night's Reach and Infernal Kirin, the latter of which synergizes well with Kyoki's spiritcraft. True, he's a legendary Craw Wurm, but it's that ability that puts the pressure on your opponents, especially once they start exiling good stuff. Cons: you will instantly become the bad guy when you summon Kyoki. But it's targeted, so you could slow down the one player who's ahead.

Another one of the dark stars in my black kami deck. With all of the black spirit and arcane spells being synergistic, this guy can easily exile up to two cards from an opponents hand each turn- all while punching them really hard in the face.

Need a crafty way to cast arcane spells quickly, but I'm sure one could do that, especially if you just abused this this Goryo's Vengeance
It's instant speed, so you may be able to combo it with Panoptic Mirror. I.E. respond to the mirror's trigger (that has an imprinted rend flesh) with this guy. The free casting exiles a card from their hand. You may have something else in your hand that's arcane...

I'm actually a little surprised that this is only a 6-drop. Compare to Myojin of Night's Reach which wipes the whole hand at instant speed but only works once and for 8 cmc. Oh, and you have to play the latter from hand for the effect, this can be reanimated...

I really want to like this card because the exile effect is great. The only problem is that it hits the table so late in the game and discard decks are most effective when the game is still fresh and new (when people still have a hand full of cards). I just pulled this from an old pack of Betrayers and I want to build around it just for fun but I think I will have to go reanimator if I want decent results.
If I could redesign this card, I would make him casting cost with a 4/3 body so you could dark ritual him out but not without risk.
