I would much rather run the new Mnemonic Wall, as it can also return a sorcery and its 0/4 body allows it to stick around longer.

Edit: Why is he taking dictation from a snake? Seems more black in flavor.

Scrivener is an okay card because the ability to bring an instant or sorcery back from your graveyard to your hand is good and he is a 2/2 creature but at the same time the instant or sorcery you bring back can make the card extremely powerful or just a 2/2 creature.

I like this card. Sure, its not the best at getting back your spells (people here have listed better ones) but damn, I cannot argue with a man wearing a cape.
