Eh. Not that powerful and often not that fun. I've seen it lead to tedious arguments too many times.

I do agree, but this card did send shivers down many players' spines back in the day...

well, it becomes really overpowered when playing on a small table

haha i remember the times when someone plays this, everyone instinctively starts shifting their permanents about, sometimes all the way to the edges of the table... good times!

This card is nothing compared to Chaos Confetti :P.

That said, I never did have to actually deal with this card, since I didn't start playing until Ice Age and 4th Edition, but I heard the horror stories, lol.

I love playing this card. The dynamic it brings to a game can be fun. I think I had one just before it got banned but I played it after the banning in casual games (with my opponents permission of course) and it was always quite fun. I would love for dexterity cards to be brought back into the game but maybe with different wording and a more structured process described in the rules text so that those arguments can be settled just by reading the card.

Our play group got really good at flipping this bad boy and causing serious destruction. We had to implement a house rule: as long as no Chaos Orbs were in play, a player may space their permanents out as far apart as they wished, but once one was cast, all permanents had to stay right were they were; any permanents cast after the orb was in play could be placed wherever the controller wished though (as long as it was still on the table and didn't mix into the games being played on either side!)

"The seventies were a bad time for Chao Sorb, and it all came to terrible end when he flipped off his balcony after eating too many lava lamps."

And so began putting cards in sleeves and taping them to the wall when I played against my brother

At least it has the "card in play" in the rules to keep it in line with the current Oracle.. Can you imagine if didn't, and someone Secret Lair'd it and hit your library.
