Whats with Exalted Angel?
Then the warrior Angel is very worse

I'd rather run with Exalted Angel, or Baneslayer Angel. However unlike Baneslayer she has the mechanic of Lifelink without the keyword itself, so her ability can stack with Lifelink.

Not exactly top tier of the Angels but not bad. Why did they keep this as lifelink mechanic without the ability name? It's great that it allows for stacking but the errata seems like it would make more sense.

Ya this is way outdated. Not very good at all. If it cost four or five max it would be alright.

No question to at least use Exalted Angel in her stead. Same casting cost, +1/+1, and a morph cost 2 below the hardcast. They just decided you should get a little more for 6 mana.

Outclas-sed as a creature? Yes.

But nothing can ever outclas-s that flavor text.

This just gos to show you that they overvalued the lifelink mechanic by a ton. Lifelink can be strong, but any creature with lifelink before mirrodian was way overpriced. Its a shame, an amazing card name wasted on oversight.

@Mr.Hendry
The major difference is that this ability uses the stack and triggers whenever she deals damage, and lifelink never triggers, it just happens.
Art-wise, this is how I would imagine your classic literature female angel would be depicted. Calm, modest, but a little cold.

I know it's pretty weak for its cost but I just can't give it a bad rating. It just seems like a very real and genuine effort on the designers' part....

That, and the art and flavour text are great. She's not all anime-esque like the newer angels (not something I'm entirely against, mind you - it's just too prevalent.)

Man, talk about obsolete... ouch.

@Kirbster: Anime-esque? Really? Have we been looking at the same cards? Because I have not seen a single card in Magic that could even come close to qualifying as "anime-esque." (Obviously not counting the Japanese Jace VS Chandra deck.)

It's hard to believe, but at one time I would have given this card 4 stars. I used her in a Tempest block deck with Winds of Rath and Sadistic Glee. Add a little mana ramp with dark rituals and Lotus Petals, and it works(ed) fairly decently. That sort of game plan wouldn't fly today though :(

3.5/5 if for no other reason than the stellar art by Gerald Brom.
