Buyback cost aside, this is useful. I prefer the mighty Hymn to Tourach myself. I will run this as back up until I can get to my Hymns.

It's less efficient than the classic Duress, and the buyback cost is insane, but look at it this way. Unlike Duress, this thing has the option.

Albeit, a really stupid option, but still. More is not less.

Better in EDH, where you can only run one of each card, games run long, and card draw runs rampant. Pair it with Nath of the Gilt-Leaf for a terrifying engine.

Hey its 5 mana for repeatable discard, or spend 1 mana early game if you got more then one in your hand. If it was any cheaper, it would be overpowered.
