This is a solid pinger, the haste pretty much gives you a guaranteed 1 damage to one of your opponent's tokens, and it will most likely untap for more later.

Hmm, I prefer Cunning Sparkmage in multicolor decks. This is, of course, superior in mono-red, though you won't be using that 1 power very often ;)
