No one has commented on this yet? This card, coupled with a Lion's Eye Diamond, provides an infinite combo of death. Spellbombs are also a good combo!

Very versatile card because of the amount of CMC artifacts of 1 or less.
For Casual Play or Peasant Tournament I decided to compile a list of the artifacts (excluding rares or expensive cards) you can have fun with. Its not exhaustive. I just pulled up a 1 CMC or less artifact search with Gatherer. If I made a mistake with the mana costs, forgive me. It's a longish list. The mana cost is the cost to get the effect you want plus the mana needed to bring it back from the grave.
With the Spellbombs per turn Aether = (4 mana - creature bounce) or (4 mana - card draw) Sunbeam = (4 mana - gain 5 life) or (4 mana - card draw) LIfespark = (4 mana - 1 land become 3/3 creatures) or (4 mana - card draw) -------if the land is an artifact land, then the land is sac-able Pyrite = (4 mana - 2 damage to target creature or player) or (4 mana - card draw) Necrogen = (4 mana - Target player discards a card) or (4 mana - card draw) The Spellbombs are pretty efficient for something you can now use every turn. Aether and Sunbeam are always good together just because of the colors' senergy. Going more than three types of spellbombs and you start to lose effectiveness and waste space in your library. Pyrite is great late in the game because it has the same abilities as Alladin's Ring, except that late in the game if you can generate more mana you can keep pumping Pyrite.
Auriok Salvager+ Soldevi Sentry+Daru Warchief = 2 mana-2/3 sac-able creature every turn, Veteran's Armaments works well here; senergy with soldier deck
Auriok Salvager+Yotian Soldier+2 Daru Warchief = 3 mana-3/5 sac-able Vigilant creature every turn, Veteran's Armaments works well here; senergy with soldier deck
Auriok Salvager+Soldier Replica+2 Daru Warchief = 3 mana-3/5 sac-able creature every turn with a sac effect of 3 damage to target attacking or blocking creature; senergy with soldier deck
Auriok Salvager+ Arcbound Worker = (3 mana=sac-able 1/1 creature with a sac effect of Put +1/+1 counter on target artifact creature)
Auriok Salvager+ Braidwood Sextant or Wanderer's Twig = garunteed land in hand every turn
Auriok Salvager+ Wayfarer's Bauble = garunteed extra land in play per turn
Auriok Salvager+Chromatic Sphere = (4 mana-1 mana of your choice and draw a card); of course you would not pay the salvage cast on the turn you got your colored mana nor would you use the effect on the turn you cast the Sphere, unless you just want the card draw.
Auriok Salvager+Terrarion= 5 mana-2 mana of your choice and combination and then draw a card; same applies with Chromic Sphere
Auriok Salvager+Conjurer's Bauble = (3 mana-put card in your graveyard on the bottom of library, draw a card)

it's good but really, really annoying. me and my brothers recently gutted our adapted bolt and bludgeon deck because we decided we would never use a deck with this card.
Or run the Baubles alongside your infinite-combo of choice; it dramatically reduces the need for tutors.

I'm kind of surprised that this + Pyrite Spellbomb or AEther Spellbomb never saw play in Standard. On second thoughts, I'm pretty sure why I know that was the case.
It would have been an excellent combo in today's Standard, though.
