All in all a nice package with a great set of abilities which fits offensive and defensive roles, an evergreen at casual tables at least.

This guy is brutal... a 3/2 for 3CC w/ Regen who can handle buffs but can't be targeted... ugh. This and any strong aura or equipment will end games very quickly. Blanchwood Armor is disgusting with him.

Puddnhead has some nice art. This, Door to Nothingness!, Gravepact. It always just... works.
Great card, too.

@GengilOrbios: If I were to guess, it would be because Troll Ascetic has regeneration. This is definitely among the best green creatures ever printed.

This guy is getting an upgrade in besieged: Thrun, the Last Troll. For one more mana he is a 4/4 and can't be countered who's only draw back is being legendary.

Funny story (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/af38); this card was actually printed just in case Astral Slide and/or Lightning Rift went out of control.

Ah, this guy was what made "Troll Shroud" have its name.
Now it's going to be "Hexproof".
Awesome evergreen key word, I'll admit,
But I'll miss saying "Troll Shroud". :P
