I would so much rather pay 1 less for one less toughness and 1 less to regenerate. not quite as good as Horned Troll imho, but it does its job.

Regeneration is a nice ability, but in this case your paying too much.

Just go with River Boa. Two toughness is not worth two higher CMC (especially not on a regenerator), let alone the fact that River Boa regenerates cheaper and has islandwalk.
