It's no Sol Ring, but it comes in handy now and again.

It's no Sisay's Ring, but...oh, yeah it is. Question is, why not go with Thran Dynamo?

Sol Ring is better, but not many of the new players have them. I honestly still prefer my good ol' Thran Dynamo though.

Pretty much outclassed by Palladium Myr.

When was the last time you Dismembered a Ur-Golem's Eye? Sure, the 2/2 body of Palladium Myr is more flexible and it even has a (somewhat) relevant creature subtype...furthermore it is able to swing and block. Yet as a source of mana it is more susceptible to removal than Ur-Golem's Eye and is thus less reliable. Whereas you can {T} Ur-Golem's Eye the same turn it enters the battlefield (no summoning sickness) and it is less susceptible to removal.

The most obvious benefit over Palladium Myr is the lower casting cost.

Think about it.

I'm baffled by the low rating. Artifact/ colorless acceleration in any form is fantastic! Obviously this is not in the same league as sol ring, thran dynamo, black lotus, moxen, and monoliths, but the more the merrier for non-green Edh decks. AND it's cheap. I'd love more functional reprints, I'd run em all. If you are rating this below a 4 you are spoiled.

5/5 from me to balance out the haters.
