Easily the best slith, and most rewarding. 3/5

1/1 trampler for the win! Goes great with my 0/2 double striker, my 1/0 regenerator, my 0/4 wall with "When this creature deals combat damage to a player, draw a card", my shadow creature with deathtouch, and of course my beloved Cuumulative Upkeep Sliver.

Oh come on, it gets bigger.

I don't understand how this slith can exist. At the time of Mirrodin, wasn't the Green Sun still hidden (it didn't appear until the eponymous Fifth Dawn) - and if the slith get born in the great furnace when "their" sun stands overhead, then...

Trample fits this guy perfectly. Usually, they just tack it on to random big green creatures and leave it off others. Here it works in many ways and makes the whole 'slith' ability functional.

To start with, you can either swing unblocked, or toss a Giant Growth on him, should he be blocked by their first turn chumps. Guess what? He still gets a counter. As he grows, he'll head out of range being killed by combat damage. And where the other Sliths just get chumped back and forth, this guy still gets a counter. And another. And another...

When they block it early giant growth, take out their creature, hit the player and grow a bit.

@Lord_of_Tresserhorn: Maybe the suns follow a cycle dictating the flow of mana that the birth of the Slith also follow. (i.e. there's a third background event that dictates both things)

....Is no one touching that we have green predator with a knife and fairly similar skullpiece?
