A 4/4 for free is always good, especially when you have a Rush of Knowledge ready to play right afterwards. :D

with 7 artifacts on the field he's free!!!
Further: this guy is a sinch, even if you don't have 7 artifacts to make him free if you have 4 artifacts then he costs 3

BAN Affinity for Artifacts and allow Arcbound Ravager to return.

Some people complain about failed rares because they're too underpowered. Following the same logic, this is definitely a failed common (way too powerful). Seeing this, I'm actually quite glad I started drafting after Mirrodin rotated. 4.5/5 for its power, 0.5/5 for being a common. What were they thinking?

@Carnophage_4ever:
Totally agree! In these days it was impossible to run something that wasn't affinity or Tooth And Nail. Sometimes there is a completely broken block with a ridicolous meta and people call it "the best block ever made"... It's because this block that Kamigawa is so weak
0.5/5 because of its unbalanceness in its own block, 4/5 because could be indeed quite a funny card... I'll give it a 3/5

it you're running a true affinity, i don't think you'd want more than 2 of these in your deck. having a high costed card like this in your opening hand is pretty terrible. choose Frogmite over it, and you won't miss this Myr too much. With Arcbound Ravager on the field, you'd likely be saccing this baddy to let someone else make the final swing anyway. And having to wait long enough to get something that costs 7cmc in Affinity could throw your game off. you want to be able to play as many cards as you can, as quickly as you can. waiting for 7 permanents to be on the field.. it didn't fit very well.
(and just a side note, it was very hard for me to speak against a myr.. they're my absolute favorite tribe..)

This should have been uncommon, at least. Great card!

The myr bouncer. He is often a free or very cheap solid body in my artifact deck.
He looks kind of derpy, but I imagine he fights like a Big Daddy from Bioshock. Very cool little card and one of my favorites.
