Strictly worse than Kraken's Eye, worse than almost every artifact ever. I feel bad giving this card .5 stars, that seems much too high.

@ Chamale: Strictly worse?! Not true, imagine you're playing Faeries but you get mana screwed and you only get one land out, at least then you can play Crystal Rod and activate once a turn if they play a blue spell! Try doing that with Kraken's eye!
Note still a bad card

Cool picture, although that's all this has going for it.

@JohnDoeXXII: if your mana screwed badly enough that you can't manage 2 mana, you're fucked, even with this crappy artifact.

Now, I propose that this card is not, in fact, "Strictly Worse" than Kraken's eye, depending on your desired mana ramp, but I have to agree that for most cases, Kraken's Eye is much better than this card.

How did nobody notice? That is *definitely* the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver.

This is the worst installment of an irrelevant cycle that took too long to be made even more irrelevant by a second, terrible cycle, which is now also irrelevant.
The only thing I can think of that it has going for it is that it's almost always better than Rakalite.
ALMOST always.
Oh yeah, and the flavor text is stupid.
Can you tell how much I like this card?

You should, uh, probably give it back to the Crystal Golem....
