This should be a 5 just because it's a secondary Tinker. (discard Inkwell, put into play for 4).

Great card, one mana more expensive than Trash for Treasure but doesn't require a sacrifice.
You can always use Merfolk Looter to toss some good artifacts and put them back up with this guy.

here's a hint: if the card has the phrase "into play," put it in your deck. figure out the combo later, but first, just put it in.

In a pinch, discard your large artifact creature like Colossus of Sardia to activate, say, Wild Mongrel, and then cast this spell. Hooray for a turn 4 Colossus!

You'd think a "secondary Tinker" would see play in, well, somewhere. Seems that with Goblin Welder, there's a way to do the same thing cheaper, and repeatedly.

@scmbling1´: well said. Aside from the Goblin Welder there's also a Sorcery at the same cost as Tinker in red which can also do Argivian Restoration's job: Trash for Treasure.

i wish this worked for darksteel colossus fun way of keeping a pentivus in play or just take off all 5 counters from it resummon it make it a 10/10 or 10 tokens... i like to use it to keep arcbounds on the filed its a pain in the but to deal with an army of arcbounds from the grave
